KS3
Years 7-9
This solving simultaneous equations graphically worksheet features questions on solving simultaneous equations in three sections.
- Section 1 is about solving simultaneous equations graphically. In each case, students need to use the graph to solve the equations, showing clearly how they’ve done so.
- Section 2 is about solving a quadratic that is equal to an integer.
- Section 3 is about solving a quadratic and linear equation simultaneously using graphs.
Solving simultaneous equations graphically
The first two sections fit onto two sides of A4 and part 3 is the extension. There is also an answer sheet.
There is a RAG table for students to mark their progress. You can amend this depending on how far you want to go. Students will need to plot graphs and estimate solutions as not all are integers.
