This six-week cross-curricular unit of work encompasses the science objectives for rocks and soils and the geography objectives for volcanoes and earthquakes.
Children will investigate an imaginary collapsed building, getting up close to the rocks, soil and fossils surrounding the site via a range of attention-grabbing practical activities.
They will then work together to create exhibits for a new museum, showcasing their findings.
Each week features its own learning objectives, learning activities and assessment.
