HCF LCM worksheet
This KS3 HCF LCM maths worksheet is ideal for homework or classwork. As the name suggests, it focuses on highest common factor and lowest common multiple.
The objective is simply to be able to find the HCF and LCM of a pair of numbers. The worksheet covers factors and multiples and some straightforward HCF and LCM questions. The extension looks at perfect numbers.
This download contains the resource as an editable text document and as a PDF.
Matching cards
This is a PowerPoint file with cards where students have to match a card with two numbers to a card with a highest common factor and lowest common multiple. It’s a great revision tool for HCF and LCM.
These matching cards are perfect for:
- Group work or station-based activities in the classroom
- Engaging starters or plenaries that reinforce concepts learnt previously
- A fun, self-checking quiz as students test their skills against their peers
In the KS3 curriculum, understanding HCF and LCM prepares students for more advanced topics in mathematics, such as algebraic manipulation, solving equations and understanding proportional relationships.
