A fraction number line is an invaluable visual tool to help Year 5 pupils understand fractions beyond the basics.

These number lines illustrate fractions incrementally along a line. They show both the fractional form (eg 1/2, 2/2, 3/2) and the mixed number equivalent (eg 1/2, 1, 1 1/2) directly underneath.
