Even when we know what nutrients we need to have a healthy balanced diet, sometimes our bodies just can’t digest them. These are called food intolerances.
In this activity students will learn about what goes on in the body scientifically when someone is lactose intolerant.
This resource forms one part of a topic on nutrition and digestion called ‘Food Counter’. You can find a starter activity for this topic on the GSK STEM Education website, here, or find the other three resources at these links:
- Lab Activity 1: Digestion: The Journey
- Independent Learning 1: Cravings
- Independent Learning 2: Nutrition and Good Health
