KS2 climate change lesson
In KS2, it can be more appropriate to push for realistic ideas. Question children on how their idea could be achieved in their setting. What would they need to make it a reality? Why is their idea better than a similar idea?
You may wish to introduce the idea of climate activism and host a debate on whether schools should strike for the climate.
Learning objectives
- Understand that there are lots of things we can do to act on climate change
- Understand that there are benefits to taking action on climate change for wildlife, humans and plants
- Write a short letter to your headteacher about what you think should change in your school
