What will students see and do?
Let students discover their wild side with an exhilarating trip to Go Ape Bracknell.
Go Ape is one of the largest outdoor adventure park chains in the UK, with more than 30 sites across England, Scotland and Wales. It’s not all monkeying around though – Go Ape is well-versed in outdoor learning.
The company takes a “whatever the weather” approach to outdoor learning and believes it’s a great way for children to improve their physical and mental health. The range of impressive activities at the Go Ape Bracknell site include:
– Go Ape Treetop Adventure
– Forest Segway
– Go Ape Treetop Adventure Plus
– Treetop Challenge
– Go Ape Ziplines
The treetop adventures are a variety of high and low rope courses, varying in difficulty to suit all age groups. The courses feature ziplines, swing ropes, pendulum swings and climbing ropes.
If you’d rather stay closer to the ground, students can hop aboard an all-terrain Segway to explore the stunning Swinley Forest.
The Bracknell site is located just outside of Greater London, making it an ideal location for schools in the South East and London.
How does the trip link to the curriculum?
Outdoor experiences offer a great range of physical and mental benefits to children. For younger children, the Go Ape experience offers a unique way for them to explore and connect with nature.
Due to the variety of group activities on offer, the courses can also help with a variety of personal skills such as team building, problem solving and confidence building.
There are different difficulties of courses available, so for those who’d like a real physical challenge, you can set the bar as high as you like.
Of course, while there are good links to the curriculum for PE and personal skills, this trip can also be used as an amazing reward trip for your students.
