What will students see and do?
The mental benefits of physical activity cannot be overstated. Taking your class on a day of exciting outdoor learning is one of the best things you can do to supplement all of the hard work you do in the classroom. It gives your class the opportunity to take chances, spend quality time together, and reach new heights – sometimes literally!
Introducing your class to a new environment can help them learn skills that can’t be taught through everyday experiences. That’s why a trip to one of Go Ape’s UK centres is such a great idea.
A Go Ape Treetop Adventure will excite, engage and exercise your pupils. Countless memories are made on its high ropes courses each year, with young people going home at the end of the day full of newfound confidence and self-belief. There’s so much to gain from conquering obstacles and solving problems in a controlled, safe environment.
Go Ape Black Park in Slough is family friendly, and has three courses suitable for people of different heights and confidence levels:
– Treetop Adventure – 1m (minimum height)
– Treetop Adventure Plus – 1.2m
– Treetop Challenge Xpress – 1.4m
It also offers activities like Go Ape nets adventure and forest Segway trips.

Details of risk assessment
It goes without saying that a high-risk, high-reward way of teaching requires rigorous safety testing. The activities at Black Park all run on a belay system, meaning that your pupils are protected by harnesses.
Qualified staff run the par and team members will be on hand at all times to support you and guide your pupils through their new learning experiences.
Risk assessments are available to look at on the website.
