What will students see and do?
Looking for UK school trip ideas or days out in Bromley? A BEECHE educational visit offers a wide range of programmes delivered in half-day or full-day sessions for nature lovers and is a great environmental trip for students.
From story-reading to pond-dipping, and minibeast hunting to soil testing, students on geography school trips and science school trips will explore the woodland with various activities.
How does the trip link to the curriculum?
All educational school trips at this venue are packed with learning opportunities and designed to promote curriculum-linked outcomes.
The EYFS sessions cover Statutory Framework Links and include a story reading followed by linked activities in the woods.
For primary school trips, Key Stage 1 science and geography are covered through the identification of animals. Plus, children will identify food chains and sources of food, and use basic geographical vocabulary to refer to key physical features.
Key Stage 2 sessions follow the maths and science curriculum to provide an understanding of life cycles in the natural environment, plus they’ll cover WW2, The Ancient Greeks, plant habitats and more.
For those in Key Stage 3 and 4 on secondary school trips, children can become junior geologists using the soil laboratory, and explore rocks using identification techniques and rock tests.
For Key Stage 5 and higher education students, there’s a range of sessions suitable for those studying biology, ecology, conservation and geography. These can be linked up to provide a multi-day geography field trip.
