What will students see and do?
Also known as Adventure International, Adventure Bude is a fully equipped activity centre in an idyllic small North Cornish town, overlooking the rugged Atlantic coastline.
The centre has 30 years’ experience of providing multi-activity holidays and trips, and can accommodate in excess of 400 visitors a week, all in comfortable en-suite rooms.
The site’s biggest asset is its location – the exceptional Summerleaze Beach is only a short walk from the centre, home to a great number of surfing and bodyboarding activities.
Also surrounding the centre is the River Neet, perfect for a spot of kayaking; the Bude Canal, which provides an ideal setting to practise canoeing and dragon boating activities; the Bude Sea Pool, for a lovely morning swim; and Lower Upton, which is the centre’s exclusive venue for mountain boarding and mountain biking.
On-site facilities include an 18m climbing and abseiling wall, a 14m multi-element high ropes course, an extensive network of tunnels and chambers for caving, and large astroturf sports area.
Whether you’re visiting as part of a residential stay or a single-day school visit, Adventure Bude will provide an unforgettable experience for your students.
How does the trip link to the curriculum?
With a wide range of activities and facilities on offer, Adventure International is happy to create a bespoke programme from a variety of courses to suit your learning requirements. They will also ensure the programme has a good balance of water- and land-based activities, and entertainment.
The activities are constantly updated to meet the needs of those who take part, and carefully selected to ensure sessions are accessible to everyone.
Clear aims and objectives ensure that sessions support students with social and physical skills while working alone and in a team environment. As Adventure International states, the promotion of fun, safety and confidence is paramount in everything it does.
