Grow skills for life at Kingswood

Learning is most effective when it’s fun. Our joy-filled adventure experiences create immediate positive change in pro-social behaviours, happiness, wellbeing and life skills. Kingswood adventures offer unmatched opportunities for children to grow as people.

Outdoor adventure learning was made for character-based education. Every activity – from raft building, to riding 3G swings – enables children to explore new interests, and generate resilience and the capacity to overcome challenges.

Kingswood adventures are enriching experiences for Y3 to Y6, with our programmes infusing the primary education curriculum with strength-based behaviours that improve children’s learning capacity in the classroom and beyond.

“The students have not stopped talking about our time with you. They absolutely loved everything!

“It was lovely to see the students flourish in all aspects, especially their confidence. Their personal skills were hugely developed, and it really did warm our hearts to see this.”

Transitions made easier

Navigating new timetables, finding classrooms, making new friends – all demanding requirements for children entering secondary. Our carefully crafted programmes, with curriculum-related tasks to meet the needs of this life stage, help children to thrive.

Schools that integrate outdoor adventure residentials into their academic calendar at the Y6 to Y7 transition point give their pupils valuable opportunities to cope more effectively with this significant change.

Children become more self-reliant, are able to make easier connections with others, and report better psychological wellbeing after experiencing outdoor activities in a new environment.

“My son has just returned from his Y6 residential and he absolutely loved it. He said the activities were amazing and he had so much fun.

“He said the staff were wonderful too, and they have given him so much confidence, which is essential with secondary school coming up.”
