Future Makers is a schools’ music competition showcasing talented young musicians aged 14–19. Shortlisted acts will perform in front of a panel of judges and live audience at the Royal Albert Hall!

Who can apply?

The competition is open to the whole of the UK and 14–19-year-olds can apply by digitally submitting a video of them performing their original music. Auditions open 31 March 2025.

Which genres?

All students aged 14–19 can enter, from any genre, as long as they have written the music themselves. They accept soloists, groups, choirs – everyone!

Why is it exciting?

Future Makers is all about inspiring young primary school audiences to get passionate about music, be future music makers and write their own songs. The winner receives a bespoke, year-long package of music industry support.

When’s the final?

The final will take place in November; primary schools can apply for £3 tickets soon.

Get your students involved! Auditions open 31 March – find out more here!
