Are you looking for support to get your little ones bike ready? Look no further than Balanceability, which is celebrating ‘Cycle to School Week’ (23–27 September) with an exciting prize draw.
This is your chance to win your school a fantastic prize of balance bikes, equipment and access to training resources worth more than £1000 to get your Key Stage 1 pupils bike-ready!
For children, schools provide the most accessible, and sometimes only opportunity for regular, structured play, physical education, physical activity and sports. This is particularly true of those with financial and/or transportation challenges, and those with parents who face time challenges when it comes to enabling their children’s participation due to work commitments.
“The programme, which can be run by teachers indoors or outdoors, gives children the ability to become competent cyclists at an early age.”
Here is the opportunity for you to promote the physical benefits of cycling without any cost to you or your pupils.
Balanceability, the UK’s only afPE-approved learn-to-cycle programme, combines ergonomic balance bikes with a schedule of fun activities that build confidence, spatial-awareness and dynamic balance skills, enabling young children to cycle without ever needing stabilisers.
The programme, which can be run by teachers indoors or outdoors, gives children the ability to become competent cyclists at an early age, with 94% of children up to the age of six years old able to safely ride a pedal bike at the end of the programme.
