Academy21 offers short-term solutions to support students in KS2–5 who face barriers to education and risk becoming disconnected from their school as a result. Students who join us will access DfE-accredited provision in a calm, inclusive online environment and receive personalised support from our expert team.
1. Tailored enrolment
During enrolment, schools can select from a wide range of live lesson times and subject levels to ensure the best fit for their students. They can choose the ideal time of day, learning level and package to support their success.
Schools will also provide details about their students’ prior learning, additional needs and background. This key information is shared with class teachers, allowing them to tailor their approach from the start and ensuring a personalised and supportive learning experience for every student.
2. Contract, timetable and location flexibility
With Academy21, students can learn from a space that’s free from distractions, enabling them to focus and establish positive study routines. Being in a calmer environment helps them rebuild confidence while protected from the typical stressors of a traditional classroom environment.
As students build a consistent routine, they can gradually shift towards blending online classes with on-site lessons, supporting a smoother reintegration.
We provide various contract lengths and the ability to onboard or offboard students quickly, letting you choose the duration that suits your plans. Our flexible contracts enable schools to manage their investment and budget efficiently.

3. Adaptive teaching
We focus on understanding every student, and delivering adaptive teaching to support each student’s unique needs. Our teachers are subject experts with experience in supporting vulnerable students and using technology to make lessons interactive and personalised.
Integrating technology helps to boost engagement, build confidence and address knowledge gaps, effectively preparing students for reintegration. Importantly, we work on reconnecting students with their learning and enhancing their wellbeing, so they can confidently return to mainstream education and become happier individuals.
4. Dedicated support
Students receive personalised support from teachers in a private setting where they can ask questions and share concerns. Plus, school mentors can book 1:1 tutorials that focus on key themes, such subject success, to help prepare the student for reintegration.
If a student is returning to school, Academy21 teachers will help them plan for change, maintain their progress and overcome challenges.
Our teachers are also available to discuss subject learning, address uncertainties and check on wellbeing. They can offer guidance, study strategies and independent learning activities to support academic growth and personal development.

5. Progress tracking
We provide lesson-by-lesson reports on students’ effort, interaction and understanding (EUI). In addition, teachers produce detailed termly reports, all of which are fully accessible.
This transparency allows schools to develop tailored reintegration plans to help identify when students are most engaged, which lessons they thrive in and the best timing for their return.
Our comprehensive feedback ensures you always have a clear picture of their progress. Our EUI scoring system also helps teachers pinpoint areas where students may need extra support, and adjust their teaching accordingly.
