A fraction wall is a visual tool that helps pupils understand the relationships between different fractions by stacking them in rows.

Each row is divided into fractions. These represent a different part of the whole, like 1/16, 1/8, 1/4, and so on, up to 1/2 and one whole.

It’s particularly valuable for helping KS2 pupils grasp the concept of equivalent fractions. They can also see how fractions compare in size.
