Digital Matters is a free platform supporting teachers to deliver online safety lessons to pupils aged 9–11, created by online safety experts Internet Matters.

This Anti-Bullying Week (11–15th November), Digital Matters is offering a free teacher pack on cyberbullying, “Is it funny or is it hate?”, to help students recognise the impact of harmful words and online behaviour. Plus, when you download the pack, you’ll find details on how you could win 30 Samsung Galaxy A9 Tablets for your school.

1. Ready-to-teach

The free lesson pack, “Is it funny or is it hate?”, comes complete with slides, handouts and a lesson plan. We know how stretched teachers are for time, so we’ve done the lesson planning for you!

The resources come with handy notes written by a teacher, so however confident you are about teaching online safety, we’ve got you covered.

2. Completely free

Digital Matters is an entirely free resource for teachers, including downloadable lesson plans and materials. Register for unlimited access and download as many resources as you need, as many times as you want, all year round.

3. Created by online safety experts & teachers

Developed by leading online safety experts and experienced educators, Digital Matters is aligned with the national curriculum. The platform offers interactive stories and activities that engage students in real-life online challenges across eight different topics.

“Digital Matters makes children feel safe and secure for their digital future.”

Allen Tsui, Willow Brook Primary School
