Age

Years 1-6

Provide pupils with this end of year reflection worksheet and ask them to fill it in by answering the questions and writing their memories from the past school year in the shapes provided.

This engaging activity will encourage them to think deeply about their experiences, fostering a reflective mood as they consider the highlights and challenges they encountered throughout the academic year.

The end of year reflection worksheet prompts pupils to reflect on various aspects of their school life. They will begin by noting their favourite memory, which might be a special event, a fun class project or an enjoyable moment with friends.

This allows them to recall and cherish the positive experiences they’ve had.

Friendships and learning

Next, they will reflect on their friendships by writing about their friends. This section provides an opportunity to appreciate the people who have supported them and made their school year enjoyable.

Pupils will also consider the favourite things they have learned. This could include specific subjects, interesting facts or skills they have acquired. Reflecting on their learning helps them recognise their academic growth and achievements.

The worksheet also asks for their favourite book. This encourages them to think about the literature that has captivated their interest, possibly inspiring a continued love for reading.

Dreams and games

Additionally, they will write about a dream that came true. This can be anything from achieving a personal goal to participating in an exciting event, helping them acknowledge and celebrate their accomplishments.

Finally, pupils will describe their favourite game. This might be a sport, a playground game or a classroom activity, highlighting the fun and joy they have experienced.

End of year reflection worksheet

This reflective exercise not only helps pupils appreciate the past year but also sets a positive tone for the future.

Encouraging them to look forward to the next academic year, they can anticipate new adventures, friendships and learning opportunities that await them.

This activity serves as a meaningful conclusion to the current school year while fostering enthusiasm for what lies ahead.
