What will pupils see and do?
Shrek and his DreamWorks friends invite you on an adventure Far Far Away… at Shrek’s Adventure! London.
Pupils will step into 12 fairy tale live shows, experience story construction first-hand and meet classic fairy tale characters, including Shrek himself. Enjoy a 70-minute interactive walk-through adventure, including a magical 4D flying bus experience.
How does the trip link to the curriculum?
Shrek’s Adventure! London offers a fairy tale classroom Far Far Away where pupils can develop in English and drama.
Strengthen pupils’ storytelling skills as they become protagonists in a live fairy tale adventure, working together as a team to make important decisions to spark and steer their stories, alongside Shrek, Fiona, Donkey and more!
They’ll develop important tools to create a story, explore how to plot events, and empathise with characters through drama and role play.

Shrek’s Adventure! London offers teachers a variety of free educational resources with the following learning outcomes for English and drama:
KS1/KS2 English:
• To identify the features and themes of different genres, including fairy tales.
• To understand that stories are developed with a beginning, a middle and an end.
• To explore the process of characterisation and of building characters.
KS1/KS2 drama:
• To infer characters’ thoughts, feelings and actions through performance.
• To use role-play and performance to convey meaning in different text types.

Travel arrangements
Waterloo is the closest station (tube and train) to Shrek’s Adventure! London and is about five minutes away, walking. Shrek’s Adventure! London is located in Zone 1 and is well connected by Bakerloo line (brown), Jubilee line (grey), Northern line (black) and Waterloo & City line (turquoise). Exit the station following signs for the South Bank.
Embankment, Charing Cross and Westminster are also within easy walking distance of Shrek’s Adventure! London. There are also many London buses that drop you within walking distance of the attraction.
If bringing a group by coach, you are welcome to book a complimentary coach-parking bay. You have 20 minutes to drop off and 20 minutes to pick up your group.
