What will students see and do?

From the moment you walk in the door with your students it’s easy to see why Imagine That! is a popular option for school science trips.

The building is divided up into several different spaces designed to target a different learning area. The tour begins in the Imagination Village, where students can engage in role-playing after they push the button on the pelican crossing. Here, your pupils can run a pizzeria, salon, supermarket or pet rescue. A theatre space offers a stage and backstage dress-up area, or pupils can get involved in a construction site.

The second area you enter is Artbeatz, where artists of all types can engage in traditional painting, create digital graffiti or bang out some music. You can also access the outdoor area from this section to explore the dino village and builders’ bootcamp. Pupils can even leave their mark on a real car using the provided paints.

Move from art to science in the Bright Sparks science zone, which is filled with more than 40 interactive exhibits where students can experiment with wind, electricity, magnets and lights. Enjoy a science show and snow workshop before having a splashing good time in the water area. Learn about solids and gasses with the dry-ice sensory show.

Your last stop is the Slime Factory where students can create the best slime and bath bombs in Liverpool. Learn the secrets of the trade, then pack up your goodies to take home.

There are more than 20 different workshops and shows presented each day, all designed to be fun and educational. The list of programmes changes each day. Contact the centre in advance to find out what shows and student workshops are available the day you visit.
