Bring Tudor homes to life in an engaging and practical way with this cross-curricular KS2 lesson plan by Adam Jevons-Newman…
Go through the keyhole and bring a Tudor street to life as you discover, design, advertise and sell your very own piece of Tudor real estate.
This project provides an engaging and practical way to mix a study of life in the past with some persuasive writing, drama and even some TV work. So prepare to teach a whole class of Tudor property developers.
Learning objectives

Tudor homes KS2 starter activity
Set the scene: no longer are you pupils at your primary school – today and for this week, you are Tudor property developers.
You have a piece of land to develop on and, by the end of the week, you need something standing to sell.
But what do we already know about selling houses? Has anybody sold their house? Are there any houses being sold nearby? And, most importantly, what do we know about Tudor houses already?
Adam Jevons-Newman is KS2 and curriculum leader at Farmilo Primary School and Nursery in Nottinghamshire.
