Powerpoints and worksheets for 12-lesson unit

Use these PowerPoints and worksheets as part of a 12-lesson unit of study using a Post-1914 play. They focus on the Dracula play by David Calcutt.
Assessed piece of work
The assessed piece of work in this unit is a Gothic story. In this task, students need to write a short Gothic story, using as many elements of Gothic literature as possible. The story must set the scene, and include a Gothic atmosphere. It should build a feeling of tension and suspense throughout.
The second option is creating a Vampire Hunter guidebook. This may be more suitable for lower-ability groups. In this second task, pupils need to think about informative, non-fiction writing and consider the purpose, audience, language and layout of their text.
