For this maths game, pupils will need a mini whiteboard, marker and sponge. They’ll need to write their answer to each statement you display on their mini whiteboard.
Give pupils a moment of thinking time, then count students down from three before asking them to show you their answers.
This approach allows you to discuss classic mistakes, common misconceptions and also to show different methods of solving problems. To do this, take a number of pupils’ mini whiteboards to the front of the class and discuss them.
Ask pupils to work in pairs and discuss each statement you display on the board. Can they come up with a true/false statement and give reasons why?
