Scheme of work, student booklet and teacher's guide
KS3
Years 7-9
This KS3 WW1 scheme of work sees students investigating the names on their local war memorial and carrying out research to produce biographies of soldiers from the local area.
You’ll use a variety of sources during your investigations, including local newspapers, census returns and the Commonwealth War Graves Commission website.
This KS3 WW1 scheme of work creates powerful links between students and the young men they investigate. These are men who are not much older than they are and volunteered to serve their King and Country over one hundred years ago.
